Medical Supply Technician (Sterile Processing) – Loveland, CO & Cheyenne, WY

Veterans Management Services, Inc. (VMSI) is seeking Medical Supply Technicians to support sterile processing operations in Loveland, CO, and Cheyenne, WY. This role focuses on instrument decontamination, sterilization, assembly, and distribution for surgical specialties, outpatient clinics, and various hospital departments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Decontaminate and process medical instruments from surgical specialties, endoscopy, dental, wound care, podiatry, and ophthalmology
- Assemble basic and complex instrument sets, ensuring proper handling of delicate micro-surgical tools
- Operate and troubleshoot sterilization equipment, including Steam, V-Pro, Trophon, and Medivators
- Conduct post-sterilization inspections, verify indicator changes, and track sterilization logs
- Maintain an inventory system for sterile instruments following first-in, first-out (FIFO) principles
- Participate in daily huddles, staff meetings, training sessions, and audits
- Ensure compliance with infection control policies, aseptic techniques, HIPAA, and the Privacy Act of 1974
Qualifications:
- HSPA/CPSPD or equivalent certification REQUIRED
- 1 years of experience in sterile processing within a hospital, outpatient clinic, or VA facility
- Expertise in medical instrument decontamination, sterilization, and assembly
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot sterilization equipment and surgical tools
- Must follow VA safety protocols and reporting requirements
Work Schedule:
- Monday – Friday (8-hour shifts within 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM clinic hours)
- Required attendance at staff meetings and daily team huddles
