SUMMARY
Responsible for maintaining and optimizing the organization's computer networks, including installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network hardware and software. This role involves monitoring network performance, ensuring security, and supporting the IT team to enhance overall network infrastructure.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and maintain network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, racking, and access points.
- Perform regular network audits to ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues such as latency, downtime, and connectivity issues.
- Implement and maintain network security protocols, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures.
- Establishes network specifications by conferring with users, consultants, partners, and fellow IT members.
- Evaluate network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency.
- Maintain network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning.
- Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation.
- Configure and optimize network settings for maximum performance and efficiency.
- Implement Quality of Service (QoS) policies to prioritize network traffic based on business needs.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate new technologies into the network infrastructure.
- Provide technical support to end-users regarding network connectivity, access, and performance issues.
- Train employees on network usage policies and best practices.
- Maintain documentation related to network configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and user guides.

Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience
- 3 years experience as a Network administrator or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, and VPN
- Experience with network security protocols, such as SSL/TLS, IPSec, and firewall configurations.?
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools, such as Wireshark, Nagios, or SolarWinds.
