Summary

We are seeking experienced and highly skilled Industrial Maintenance Technicians to join our can filling team. The technician will troubleshoot, maintain, and repair both mechanical and electrical components of equipment, including high-speed machinery used in can-making processes. This role requires expertise in both electrical and mechanical systems, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced, highly automated environment.

Shift: You will work a rotating 2-2-3 shift and overtime as needed. We are currently hiring for night shifts from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment, including but not limited to can filling machines, conveyors, and packaging systems.
• Electrical Maintenance: Repair and install electrical systems, wiring, circuits, motor control centers, and other electrical components. Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to diagnose and repair equipment. Troubleshoot PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) to maintain automated systems.
• Mechanical Maintenance: Repair, maintain, and adjust mechanical components such as bearings, gears, chains, and belts on production machinery. Perform mechanical repairs on pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and prolong equipment lifespan. Replace worn parts, lubricate machinery, and perform inspections to identify potential issues.
• Emergency Repairs: Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and malfunctions to minimize production disruptions. Diagnose problems, implement corrective actions, and document maintenance activities.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance activities. Identify and address safety hazards to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Quality Assurance: Collaborate with production and quality control teams to maintain product quality standards. Ensure that equipment adjustments and maintenance activities do not compromise product integrity.
• Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of spare parts and consumables required for equipment maintenance.
• Documentation and Reporting: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and repair history.
• Training and Support: Train production operators on basic equipment maintenance procedures and troubleshooting techniques. Provide technical support and guidance to enhance overall equipment efficiency.

Requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical certification or apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical maintenance with
• 2 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, preferably in the aluminum can filling and packaging equipment industry.
• Must have Experience with PLC troubleshooting (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.) and with pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems repair.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with both mechanical and electrical systems.
• Use precision measuring instruments, perform basic mathematical calculations, and identify product defects
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and practices related to equipment maintenance and operation.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail with effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
