Job Overview:
VRSI is in partnership with QualityStaff, LLC. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for pulling merchandise, stack and arrange products, and pack items into containers, crates, boxes and carton for shipping or storage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and oversee both incoming and outgoing shipping activities.
- Coordinating with shipping companies, carriers, and freight forwarders.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations.
- Scheduling shipments and overseeing loading and unloading of trucks.
- Managing and training staff.
- Optimize inventory management.
- Manage safety standards within the warehouse environment.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Warehouse or assembly line experience.
- Skills:
- Must have good leadership and supervisory abilities.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Detail oriented.
- Multi-tasking and place priorities in an orderly manner.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift items for long periods.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and physical demands.
- Must be able to lift and/or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm with one-hour break for lunch
