ABOUT THE ROLE
Responsible for set-up, mixing of drinks, service and cleanup of bar area while enduring quality service, guest satisfaction and the achievement/maintenance of OLS Hotels and Resorts standards and profit maximization, provide service to our guest during meal periods serving breakfast, lunch and dinner service.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome all guest upon arrival in a warm and friendly manner
- Make and serve drinks to guests and cocktail servers following established guidelines, procedures and policies regarding beverage and safety controls as prescribed by OLS Hotels and Resorts standards.
- Perform all guest contact activities in a cordial, efficient and professional manner; maintaining a commitment to guest satisfaction.
- Ring guest checks, collect cash and process credits and room charges in the exact manner outlined by OLS Hotels and Resorts policies and procedures.
- Complete liquor requisitions and supply lists.
- Know and comply with state liquor laws.
- Ensure established pars are maintained.
- Perform all side work duties according to side work schedules.
- Attending to the bar and tables, take orders and deliver orders in a timely manner.
- Bus tables and set in a timely manner.
- Perform opening and closing side work according to standards to ensure that guests are served promptly and efficiently.
- Prepare beverages and cocktails according to the standards, for mixing, portion control and presentation.
- Serve guests with all food and beverage requirements in a warm, friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
- Ensure the bar, lounge, lobby and event areas are kept clean and tidy.
- Be familiar with the computer POS system.
- Carry out cashiering functions by closing checks and servicing the guest.
- Follow all state liquor laws and assigned training is required.
- Follow prescribed procedures in serving liquor with care to avoid problems with intoxicated guests, and when necessary, report to management.
- ServSafe and ABC online training required for the role.
- Stock and clean glassware.
- Check soda tanks to ensure that they are full and secured properly to the bar.
- Prepare all garnishes.
- Prepare juices and syrups for bar service.
- Change kegs and soda bibs.
- Assist in cleaning of tables and all lounge areas as needed.
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
- Deliver food to guests.
- Knowledge of both food and drink menu to offer guests suggestions and upsell,
- Knowledge of what all hotel food and beverage options are and be able to quality control all items served to guests.
- Follow hotel handbook protocols.
- Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE:
- Prior Experience:
- 1 years Previous restaurant experience.

- Must be able to effectively communicate to guests, management, and coworkers

- Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
- Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to stand for the entire shift.
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to exercise confidentiality and discretion.
OTHER EXPECTATIONS:
- Abide by payroll policies, procedures and rules of conduct as stated in the Springboard Hospitality Associate Handbook.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of all company safety and security procedures.
- Hours Required: Must primarily work during Springboard Hospitality business hours, Monday - Friday 7am - 10pm (PST), while understanding that the hotel business functions 24/7 and some weekend or holiday work may occasionally be required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $7.25 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
