Job Title: Injection Molding Process Technician
Location: Chatham, NY
Salary: $28.95-$36.99/hour (based on experience) $1.00/hour for 3rd shift differential
Shift Options:
- Swing shift: Alternating weeks (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM and 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM)
- 3rd shift: (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $5,000
Relocation Bonus: Up to $5,000
Position Overview:
As an Injection Molding Process Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining safety standards, troubleshooting processes, and supporting the production of high-quality molded products. You will also collaborate with engineering teams to develop and improve processes while participating in the installation and setup of new molds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to safety protocols.
- Inspect, install, and set up new molds using proper procedures.
- Troubleshoot tooling, processes, and machines to identify and resolve issues.
- Work with engineering teams on process development and efficiency improvement initiatives.
- Conduct safety audits for secondary equipment.
- Interpret quality system data and ensure accurate documentation.
- Support Plant Productivity initiatives and new process implementation.
- Participate in overtime as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in plastics injection molding.
- Skilled in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with new mold inspection, installation, and setup.
- Technical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic computer literacy and working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., IQMS).
Preferred:
- A minimum of a 2-year technical degree.
- Successful completion of Work Keys Mathematics and Technical Aptitude testing.
