Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join a leading client in Las Vegas, NV. This role involves maintaining and optimizing critical database environments, supporting development teams, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to meet technical and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform database maintenance, including backup/recovery, monitoring, and optimization.
• Design and build new database structures to ensure optimal performance.
• Apply patches, upgrade database versions, and maintain security compliance.
• Assist development teams in creating database artifacts (tables, triggers, views, etc.).
• Develop and maintain shell scripts and PL/SQL programs for automation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business needs.

Key Qualifications

• 10 years’ experience in database maintenance on Linux/Windows environments.
• 5 years supporting Java and/or ColdFusion-based software development.
• Proficiency in PL/SQL programming and shell scripting.
• Expertise in logical and physical database architecture.
• Experience with performance tuning, troubleshooting, and database optimization.

Preferred Skills

• Oracle certifications (preferred).
• Expertise in RAC, Dataguard, ASM, and RMAN.
• Familiarity with Control-M, ServiceNow, Excel, and Visio.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or related field.
