Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Others as assigned.
- Provides strategic direction for Maintenance department.
- Manages multiple facilities through cooperation and collaboration with Plant Management, Maintenance Manager, and other key corporate personnel.
- Responsible for meeting financial goals that include efficient use of labor, overtime control, managing departmental budget and supplies management.
- Serve as the central requisitioning agent to set inventory and stock supplies
- Provides direction for employees, ensures performance management/development plans of all direct reports.
- Ensures department maintains adequate knowledge of processes and skill sets to effectively troubleshoot and make repairs.
- Administers Maintenance Apprenticeship Program.
- Ensures upkeep of building, grounds and equipment/machinery and maintains compliance with regulatory agencies, i.e. OSHA, EPA, local authorities, and permitting.
- Ensure preventive maintenance plans are up-to-date and completed for equipment/machinery and rebuilds for covering operational needs and continuous improvement projects.
- Within scope of responsibility, controls vendors, contractors and all related inspectors.
- Serve as the Project Lead on various maintenance and logistics projects.
- Conduct routine building inspections to determine and deliver facility needs, updates management timely on risks and needs.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalent, plus ten years of experience in the maintenance of building facilities and grounds, repair of structures, machinery, plumbing, electrical wiring and fixtures.
- Minimum three (3) years supervisory experience in a maintenance capacity
- Demonstrated abilities in problem solving, operations management and team building
- Electrical and mechanical background
- Prefer 4-year degree in management/technical field.
