Job Description:
We are looking for an Industrial Engineer with a background in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering to join a growing manufacturer in Northwestern Ohio. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, revise, and maintain technical diagrams, AutoCAD drawings, work instructions, and operator/service manuals to support manufacturing operations.
- Lead and facilitate Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on eliminating waste and enhancing cell efficiency.
- Take ownership of plant layout design, ensuring optimal workflow and resource utilization across the manufacturing floor.
- Apply 5S principles to enhance workplace organization, safety, and productivity.
- Collaborate with continuous improvement teams to analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for cost-effective improvements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain process improvement strategies to ensure operations align with our commitment to operational excellence.
- Monitor production processes and work with teams to address issues related to efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Provide support and training to employees on new processes, technologies, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in medical manufacturing or assembly operations.
- Experience AutoCAD or other relevant design software for creating technical diagrams and layouts.
- Strong knowledge of industrial engineering principles, including process improvement, plant layout design, and waste elimination.
- Experience leading Kaizen events and utilizing continuous improvement methodologies preferred (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.).
- Familiarity with 5S principles and applying them to optimize workplace organization and safety.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a focus on collaboration and driving results.
Salary : $65,000 - $100,000
