Position: Safety Director
Primary Responsibilities:
- Identify best practices and support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices on all project sites.
- Facilitate and foster a work environment that promotes a culture of safety and health.
- Conduct or coordinate worker training on safety regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and the use of various safety equipment.
- Inspect project sites and safety equipment to identify and address potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Investigate accidents, near-miss incidents, and occupational injuries to determine causes, implement preventive measures, and monitor return-to-work activities.
- Provide technical advice, coaching, and guidance to employees on safety initiatives and hazardous condition remediation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in safety roles.
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is required.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations.
- Basic proficiency with MS Office applications.
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Safety or a related field is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CHST or CSP are a plus.
- Must pass a satisfactory background check.
- Willingness to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) covering confidential information, intellectual property, non-solicitation, and non-interference.
Schedule:
- 40 hours per week, which may include occasional weekends. Open availability throughout the week is required.
Travel:
- Daily travel is required to all project sites within the territory. Candidates must have their own vehicle and acceptable liability insurance coverage.
