Feed Mill Operator

Tasks will include, but not limited to:

• Grind, crack, and mix livestock feed while accurately measuring ingredients.
• Load and unload materials into the mill and warehouse.
• Keep detailed records of transactions, inventory, and order materials/supplies for the mill and warehouse.
• Maintain cleanliness and perform regular upkeep of the facility, including routine housekeeping tasks.
• Operate forklifts, trucks, semis, and other machinery safely for material transport.
• Provide excellent customer service to farmers, customers, and suppliers, and perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned by management, assistance in other departments within the company during busy seasons

Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Eagerness to learn more about the company and products/services offered
• A general knowledge of livestock feed is preferred, will train as necessary
• Valid Driver’s License – CDL is not required but is a bonus - We offer a CDL reimbursement plan to attain a Class A CDL

Physical Requirements:

• Able to physically lift heavy materials (up to 50 pounds) frequently throughout the work shift with or without assistance.
• Standing/working on feet for extended periods
• Able to work in extreme weather conditions and elements, including but not limited to heat, cold, rain, mud, dust, etc.
• Frequent exposure to noise and dust

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
