We are currently searching for an experienced CAD Designer to support our design of natural gas pipeline projects located in Lexington, KY . This position can be remote from the following areas : Ann Arbor, MI, Detroit, MI, Pittsburgh, PA, or Atlanta, GA.
What you’ll be doing :
- Contribute to project production sheets by laying out plan, alignment, detail, and other sheets as necessary
- Use various methodologies and / or techniques to accurately label and add notation to sheets
- Prepare minor mathematical calculations and quantity calculations for pipeline / linear alignment projects
- Research applicable design codes and guidelines to ensure design compliance
- Research design options and documents findings
- Work directly with engineers to understand project goals and scopes
- Coordinates assignments with project team and supervisor
- Perform quality control reviews of design plans and calculations
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Work remotely across the company’s footprint of offices
- Assist adjacent groups remotely on an as needed basis
