What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production and Quality Supervisor position at Volks?
Must be thoroughly familiar with at least one of these processes, such as sheet metal fabrication, stamping, machining, welding, and associated operations.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Supervises quality functions through subordinates. Assures quality sampling and measurements are
maintained and improved. Monitors final product to insure it meets customer specifications.
· Supervises workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure productivity and technical
integrity.
· Educate staff and leadership regarding ISO / IMS requirements.
· Responsible for the disposition of non-conforming products, including deviation inspection, to ensure
customer satisfaction, while maximizing yield.
· Supervises training of Quality personnel and assists the Plant Manager in training of production personnel
to IMS requirements.
· Maintains exceptional knowledge of IMS Systems, procedures, techniques, and methods to meet customer
requirements and specifications.
· Field customer complaints and act as coordinator of RMA, CAPA, RCA.
· Ensures a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigates (and corrects) customer issues
and complaints relating to quality.
· Ensures timely completion of customer required PPAP’s and First Articles to meet customer deadlines.
· The Quality Supervisor is the Quality representative for the South Carolina facility.
· Performs other tasks as directed by the Director of Quality and Plant Manager and advises immediate
supervisor on all problems encountered and not resolved.
· Will act as site Safety and Environmental representative for ISO 14001 and 45001 implementations.
· This is a working Supervisor’s position that will require time on the production floor and quality lab.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
ISO 9001/ 2015 Working Knowledge.
Experience in maintaining quality assurance policies and procedures.
Proven knowledge of Quality Systems, sampling techniques, problem solving and production.
Minimum 1 year of experience in quality systems within a leadership role.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Committed and experienced in developing a team focused relationship between various departments within the
organization to ensure the production of quality products and customer satisfaction.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
