The internship program at Volkswagen Group of America Chattanooga Operations is intended to provide college / university students and recent graduates the opportunity to use and develop skills they have learned in the classroom by working at our state-of-the-art production facility, and to provide Volkswagen Chattanooga the opportunity to develop talent for potential future entry-level positions.
The Finance Group Functions team is responsible for managing and analyzing key financial aspects across various regions including North America, Europe, China, and Mexico. This includes managing material costs, overseeing fixed costs for operations, handling inventories, and monitoring outbound logistics. The team works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth flow of financial information and operational efficiency. As a Finance Group Functions Intern, you will be part of a dynamic team handling important financial processes and gain exposure to financial analysis, cost management, and inventory tracking for materials and finished products.
This position will start on June 2nd 2025 and end on Aug 8th 2025.Our internships are full-time positions (40 hours/week). Candidates will be expected to be available to work during normal business hours (Monday - Friday; exact hours will vary by position and some positions might require work on Saturdays).
To be eligible for the internship program, candidates are required to be enrolled at an accredited post-secondary educational institution or have graduated from one within 6 months prior to the start date of the internship. We are unable to consider OPT/CPT/International candidates
- Assist with Group SLA 2.0 (Service Level Agreement analysis and reporting).
- Support Planning Round 74 (financial planning cycle, including data collection and reporting).
- Help with Month Close activities, including preparing financial reports and reconciling data.
Preferred Majors: Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of basic business operations and financial processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., creating spreadsheets, data analysis, and reporting).
- Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
