Role Summary
Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced and fast-changing environment. You will report to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and support the CEO and management team in daily business operations, serving as the key link for general ramp-up projects and being involved in a variety of activities.
Role Responsibilities
- Prepares agendas, briefs, and presentations for CEO-led meetings, ensuring all materials are accurate and ready in advance. Drafts, edits, and organizes correspondence, reports, and presentations as required by the CEO.
- Follows up on meeting decisions and drives topics within the organization.
- Effectively manages on a timely basis: expenses, calendar & travel management, correspondence, company car / IT concerns, teleconference set-up, appointment booking, on-boarding new direct reports, etc.
- Develops, coordinates, and tracks deliverables of projects, providing progress reports, and proactive management responses; maintains scorecard and presents information regularly.
- Provides ad-hoc support in daily operations where needed.
- Drives, guides, and ensures implementation of internal communication of battery activities within Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
- Assists with special projects and initiatives led by the CEO, ensuring timely and successful completion.
- Assists in annual target setting for the brand, acting as the clearinghouse and driver for Business Plans.
- Conducts research and provides insights on industry trends, competitors, or potential opportunities as needed by the CEO.
- Manages and maintains the CEO’s schedule; including appointments, meetings, and events, ensuring alignment with priorities.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external communications on behalf of the CEO.
Qualifications - 5-7 years of experience.
Education Required - Bachelor's Degree
Skills
- Experience in a busy corporate and/or ramp-up setting preferred.
- Ability to adapt to and maintain flexibility with the juggling of multiple projects.
- A high degree of discretion and confidentiality is required.
- Significant experience with multi-tasking, attention to detail, and ability to deal with ambiguity.
- Advanced competency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Experience with OneDrive, SharePoint, MS Teams, Concur, and SAP strongly desired.
- Demonstrates success in developing strong working relationships across many layers of an organization and cultural boundaries.
- Proven ability to prioritize, stay organized, and maintain professional composure at all times.
- Takes initiative, is self-reliant, and can work well under minimum supervision.

In Belmont, California, the salary range for this role is $118000 – $175000, depending on education and experience.
