The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting the appropriate parts for their needs, managing inventory, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of vehicle or machinery parts, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Assistance:
- Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct parts for their vehicles or equipment.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to customers on the use and installation of parts.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain an organized and accurate inventory of parts.
- Order new parts as needed to ensure availability.
- Conduct regular stock checks and report any discrepancies.
- Sales and Processing:
- Process customer orders and sales transactions accurately.
- Generate and follow up on sales leads to increase parts sales.
- Handle returns and exchanges of parts according to company policies.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicate with suppliers to obtain parts and manage order statuses.
- Work closely with service technicians to ensure they have the parts they need for repairs.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement sales strategies.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of sales, orders, and inventory.
- Prepare reports on parts usage, sales, and inventory levels.
- Adhere to all safety and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a parts counter person or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle or machinery parts and their applications.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and basic computer skills
