Location: Club Volo Brewers Hill (1201 S. Haven Street) or Club Volo Baltimore Peninsula (300 E. Cromwell Street)

Job Description

The Club Volo Venue Staff is responsible for maintaining Volo standards at all leagues, pickups, and events at the Club Volo location. See responsibilities listed below.

Venue Staff Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Responsible for running organized, fun, and safe leagues, pickups, tournaments, events
• Interact with players and part time staff to enhance and elevate the customer experience to encourage and maintain a quality experience
• Knowledge of the rules and regulations of the various sports offered at Club Volo location and generally within the Baltimore market, including upcoming events and tournaments
• Abides to company policies in all areas - customer experience, dress code, attendance, time off, following procedures
• Cultivate a culture of of bringing community together in a safe and fun environment
• Support onboarding of new staff via shadow shifts and other training as necessary
• Host league(s)
• Check-in players utilizing the host app
• Update scores via the host app
• Submit a shift log and 2 pieces of content each shift worked
• Submit incident reports as necessary for injuries, altercations, and the like
• Complete all tasks on the open and close checklists, including venue set-up, lights, music, etc
• Maintain equipment, noting damages, and reporting to the CV Commissioner and within game logs
• Cleans and organizes facility including but not limited to, check in areas, turf, courts, walkways, bathrooms, bar, storage units, and etc
• Work with Commissioner on-site to resolve issues and deescalate situations that might arise or
• Serve as Volo representative on-site with no Commissioner on-site
• Reports problems/solutions to the CV Commissioner and/or Director as needed
• Promote Volo Pass memberships, sponsor bar, events, court rentals and upcoming leagues via on-court selling
• Help distribute marketing materials and assist with any brand activations
• Conduct fundraising activities for kids foundation with the support of Commissioner and office staff
• Attend weekly meetings
• Completes delegated tasks from the CV Commissioner and/or Director by due date
• Must be available to work a minimum of 1-2 consistent days of the week for the entirety of the 2025 year, i.e. every Monday and Wednesday. Typical hours of operation are Monday-Friday between 5:30pm - 10:30pm or Weekends(Saturday/Sunday) between 8:00am - 5:00pm
  
  

Must-Haves

• Willingness to learn our product and support training initiatives
• Customer service experience, preferably in hospitality, entertainment and retail
• Willingness to sell and promote in-person
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions
• Ability to multi-task and make decisions under pressure
• Ability to lift and carry 30-50 pounds
• Possess a positive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to communicate clearly
• Proficient customer service skills
• High School Diploma /GED Equivalency
• 21 years of age or older
