Purpose
In this varied position, the People Coordinator aids the People Team by guaranteeing smooth HR operations across Volpara’s Americas operation. The People Coordinator excels in handling a range of HR tasks proficiently and helps the department progress with compliance while maintaining an employee-centric approach.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the recruitment process by posting job openings, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, coordinating candidate communication, and conducting reference and background checks.
- Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation, including preparing documentation, and ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
- Assist with HR-related inquiries and provide support to employees and leaders on various HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Promote a values-based culture of high performance, transparency, fun and inclusivity within the workplace. Coordinate America's employee engagement initiatives, such as team-building activities/events/celebrations.
- Provide HR administration support, including developing relevant documentation, around department initiatives.
- Assist in the data collection and analysis for annual reporting requirements (i.e.: federal and benefits)..
- Support the development and implementation of new policies and practices in line with relevant legislation. Review HR related policies/documentation/handbooks to ensure they remain relevant and compliant.
- Review and update job descriptions as roles change.
- Maintain employee records and databases, always ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Maintain Learning Management Systems, assigning, tracking, and recording trainings related to both compliance and professional development.
- Manage the logistics of the employee offboarding process.
- Provide back up support to the administration team as and when required.
Experience & Qualifications
- Associates degree required, Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- 1-3 years of experience working in Human Resources.
- Knowledge of US human resources policies, practices and associated employment legislation required. Some exposure to, or knowledge of Canadian, Mexican or Argentinian employment law desirable but not required.
- SHRM-CP, PHR (HRCI) or equivalent certification preferred. Testing complete but needing to finish experience component okay.
- Excellent communication skills and highly service orientated. Can build effective relationships with all levels of the company.
- Self-managed and can take initiative.
- Flexible, adaptable and enjoys challenge and change.
- Strong organizational skills and processes with excellent follow through and accuracy.
- Comfortable with HRIS technologies, database platforms, and Microsoft Office software products.
- Located within commuting distance of the Lynnwood, WA office preferred.
- Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
- Proof of COVID 19 vaccination required, except in limited circumstances where a legally recognized medical or religious exemption may be able to be accommodated.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $65,000 – 75,000 per year, full time equivalent.â¯Benefits include the option to participate in medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances; a 401K plan with a company match; and generous paid time off.
