Volt is immediately hiring for Material Handler in Westchester, CA.

As a Material Handler, you will:

• Operate material handling equipment to efficiently transfer materials in and out of production areas while maintaining safety standards.
• Ensure production and staging areas are organized and maintain compliance with SOPs for safe and efficient operations.
• Verify and prepare materials for production, ensuring correct quantities and proper labeling.
• Monitor production lines for material needs and provide assistance as required.
• Handle bulk materials, including melting and maintaining specific temperatures and agitation.
• Coordinate with crew chiefs and supervisors to prioritize material delivery and removal.
• Perform documentation for returned materials, ensuring proper handling and segregation to prevent commingling.
• Move finished goods and subassemblies to designated storage areas, confirming labeling accuracy.
• Maintain packaging supply areas in an orderly fashion and assist in production as needed.
• Rotate between department work areas and ensure departmental coverage during breaks.
• Adhere to company policies, including safety, attendance, and productivity guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• High school or Technical School diploma (cGMP knowledge preferred).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively independently and in a team, with a high level of self-motivation and discipline.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and experience with material handling equipment (preferred).

This is a full-time opportunity.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Overtime may be required).

Pay: $17.28 per hour.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
