Volt is immediately hiring an Engineering Technician in SHAKOPEE, Minnesota 55379
As an Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for.
- Develop in-depth experience in areas of technology relevant to the design and development of Client’s Analytical Instruments products.
- Directly support sustaining, design and development electrical engineering activities within cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and test engineering groups.
- Utilize electrical design and development tools used in capturing circuit design schematics, laying out printed circuit boards, and performing circuit simulations.
- Provide sustaining support for designs that include analog circuits that interface with sensors, AC / DC power supplies, and communication circuits (e.g. Modbus, 4 / 20mA HART, Fieldbus)
- Perform electronics Design Verification Testing (DVT) activities and provide evidence to engineering peers that designs meet or exceed specification requirements and customers’ needs.
- Perform statistical analysis of laboratory test results and report findings to engineering peers.
- Troubleshoot Client systems and electronic circuits to a functional block or component level.
- Periodically support global electronics circuit card manufacturing and global product manufacturing by improving product designs, streamlining manufacturing processes, reducing manufacturing costs, and improving quality.
