What are the responsibilities and job description for the 3rd Shift Module Leader position at Volt?
Volt is immediately hiring for Operations Supervisor II in Ottumwa, IA 52501. As an Operations Supervisor II, you will :
- Monitors Control Plans, troubleshoots workmanship problems and generally supervises production activities to ensure that manufactured products meet or exceed all established quality requirements.
- Monitors performance and takes corrective action including discipline, as needed and responds to complaints to ensure the Company and employees adheres to policies, practices, procedures and work rules.
- Determines facilities, maintenance, and manufacturing and / or distribution priorities based on the production schedule
- Works with day shift counterparts to communicate work hours, policy changes, and to notify employees of relevant information.
- Plans for maintenance of equipment and facilities to maximize the uptime and utilization of capital equipment assets.
- Implements and monitors safety programs and housekeeping. Required Skills :
- 3 or more years of supervision in an industrial setting
- 5 or more years of experience relating to engineering, skilled trades, or other technical fields
- Systems experience - SAP. Familiar with desktop applications - MS Word, Office, Excel. Preferred Skills :
- Exposure to preventative and predicative maintenance techniques
- Experience supervising skilled trades employees, including electricians, pipefitters, millwrights, and building / grounds
- Experience or exposure to automation, controls, and robotics
- Experience with SAP and related maintenance transactions
- Experience creating purchase orders within SAP Education : o Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience Shift : 3rd Shift Duration : 07 Months (Possible extension) Location : Ottumwa, IA 52501 Pay rate : $32 / hr - $37 / hr.
