Lead Maintenance Tech Job Description
This is a Full-Time opportunity to lead maintenance efforts in a production facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial maintenance and possess technical knowledge of machinery, tools, and safety practices.
Responsibilities
- Perform shutdowns, startups, and equipment cleaning.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and the facility.
- Diagnose and resolve issues to maintain efficiency and reliability.
- Assist in root cause analysis for equipment failures.
- Monitor and adjust production flows and equipment parameters.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, structural, plumbing, and mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete documentation.
- Support the maintenance team and assist with equipment upgrades and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and employee safety protocols.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Train maintenance technicians on essential duties.
- Plan, execute, and oversee maintenance tasks.
- Manage inventory with the inventory coordinator to ensure parts availability.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors for repairs and special projects.
- Assign tasks and provide feedback to team members.
- Document and communicate detailed shift pass-downs.
- Address safety hazards and enforce corrective actions.
- Inspect and maintain tools and equipment for the team.
- Distribute preventive maintenance tasks to technicians.
- Escalate significant downtime issues to supervisors or managers.
Requirements
- Familiarity with industrial maintenance procedures, machinery, and tools.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of safety practices and hazard recognition.
- Competence with hand and power tools.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, communicate effectively, and maintain a clean work environment.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least three years of experience in industrial maintenance, including repair of equipment such as bucket elevators, conveyors, and roasters.
Pay Range
$29-$35 per hour Depending on experience
