What will you do?
As a key member of the financial leadership team, the Controller will report to the President and assume responsibility for the accounting operations of the company. The Controller will oversee all accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, internal controls, and cash management. This role ensures financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and supports strategic decision-making by providing accurate and timely financial data.
The Controller will work closely with senior management to enhance financial procedures, drive efficiency, and contribute to the company’s overall financial health and growth.
Essential Functions

- Oversee and ensure accuracy of all financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance withGAAP.
- Manage the company’s accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit approval, collections, general ledger, payroll, and tax compliance.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial statement integrity.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals to facilitate audits, financial reviews, and tax filings.
- Develop and analyze budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making including but not limited to acquisitions and capital investments.
- Monitor cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury functions to optimize liquidity and working capital management.
- Supervise and mentor accounting team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Analyze financial data and trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies.
- Identify and implement process improvements, automation tools, and financial technologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and operations.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, HR, and Legal, to align financial planning with company objectives and ensure financial health across departments.
- Maintain awareness and knowledge of contemporary business operational development theory and methods. Research and develop best practice systems for corporate accounting and management in general.
- Qualified Candidates for this position have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- 7 years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including management experience.
- 3 years of experience in Retail Industry preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in accounting and ERP software.
- Experience with financial automation tools, data analytics platforms, and process improvement initiatives preferred.

The salary for this position has a range of $110,000 - $150,000 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The definitive compensation may vary in alignment with the selected candidate’s professional background, experience, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer.
Salary : $110,000 - $150,000
