Transportation Logistics Specialist

We are looking for a skilled Transportation Logistics Specialist to join our team at Voltage LLC. The Transportation Logistics Specialist will be responsible for managing and coordinating transportation activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. The Transportation Logistics Specialist will also be handling and monitoring logistics processes, analyzing data and cooperating with various stakeholders to maintain efficient operations. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Operations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate and oversee transportation activities to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of goods.
• Collaborate with transportation companies and transloading facilities to negotiate rates and ensure service quality.
• Analyze transportation data and metrics to identify trends, improve processes and support decision-making.
• Address and resolve any transportation -related issues, including delays, damages or discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including shipments, costs and RFQs.
• Provide timely information on shipment status and delivery schedules.
• Monitor and control transportation costs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
• Create shipping documents such as commercial invoices, packing slips and shipping labels as needed.
• Maintain accurate outbound documentation in ERP system.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers and internal teams.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across departments.
• Assist with any day-to-day administrative tasks
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education/Experience/Skills Requirements:

• 2 years of Logistics/Transportation experience required.
• Associates Degree required
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with demonstrated ability for accuracy.
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work with multiple partners and peers across the organization and outside to achieve project and operational results.
• High Level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

Work is performed in an office environment. Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Overtime may be necessary, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
