Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential nursing care to patients in various settings, including acute care, senior care, and home community care. The LPN will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring that patients receive high-quality medical attention while adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining accurate medical documentation.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the supervising nurse or physician.
- Assist with basic life support procedures when necessary.
- Provide catheter care and manage other patient hygiene needs.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Support patients in neonatal care, including the operation of neonatal ventilators when required.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members in ophthalmology and occupational health settings to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, treatment plans, and preventive measures.
Requirements
- Valid LPN license in the state of practice.
- Experience in acute care, senior care, or home community care preferred.
- Knowledge of basic life support techniques and ability to perform them effectively.
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices and HIPAA regulations.
- Skills in catheter care and other essential nursing procedures.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating compassion for patients' needs.
