Job Title : Payments Specialist
Location : NY (Onsite)
Job Responsibilities :
Provide technical guidance on Payments Industry Formats (i.e. SWIFT messaging, ACH) Data Fields, Implementation and Configuration
Provide technical guidance and knowledge of transaction monitoring systems data requirements for AML and Screening across a variety of payments schemes.
Perform data and systems analysis to detect the gap in the data quality between the payment transactions formats and monitoring data fields in the transaction monitoring system.
Design, plan and execute as part of a transaction monitoring quality improvement implementation, modifications required in the payments systems or TM systems.
Lead the development of written and oral communications to present the data quality findings and improvements.
Execute on implementation requirements as required including business or technical requirements documentation.
Qualifications
IT experience majorly in financial services industry, international banking experience a plus
Experience working in banking and payment domain : High and low value payment, SWIFT, Real time payment, cheque clearing, ACH payment.
Experience and knowledge of payments industry formats such as SWIFT messaging and integrations with Transaction Monitoring Systems.
Business analysis and design experience including payment, monitoring, settlement, cash flow, accounting and reconciliation is a plus.
Strong data collection skills and the ability to present and explain the data
Critically evaluate information and decompose into detailed description of issue
Excellent written and verbal communication skills comfortable in proactively communicating with others both within and outside of the immediate team to resolve issues and get questions answered
Must be able to work independently and with minimum supervision
