Volunteer Behavioral Health is now hiring for part-time LPNs in Chattanooga, TN
Come be a of a great team! We need LPNs and RNs who are licensed in the state of Tennessee or who have reciprocal licenses and can be licensed in the state of Tennessee within 90 days of hire. No psychiatric experience needed, and new grads are welcome. We are a small low acuity voluntary psychiatric unit; all of our clients on the unit can complete their own ADLs and are very low medical acuity. We are looking for someone who understands the mental health/substance use community and has a desire to work with that specific client population.
EXEMPLARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Implement policies and procedures of the Crisis Stabilization Unit.
· Assist Psychiatric Technicians when needed in providing for the daily living activities of the patients.
· Implement procedures for providing the medical needs ordered for each patient while in CSU.
· Screen calls and questions pertaining to medication.
· Lead educational groups for clients
· Monitor vital signs and lab work within the guidelines pertaining to the specific medication.
· Help maintain and support patients receiving medications by individual evaluation and/or group.
· Complete Admissions Assessments and create Treatment Plans.
· Screen clients for admission and complete admissions as directed per unit policies and procedures
· Medication administration
· Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
Licensed as an LPN in the State of Tennessee
