About the job Fur & Feather Animal Sanctuary (FFAS) is a 501(c)(3) all volunteer non-profit organization. FFAS was founded in 2008. Since our inception, we have saved over 1k at our small facility. We currently focus on severe special needs animals and our funding, and needs to sustain has dramatically grown. FFAS has not only grown in our volunteer size, but we have grown to meet the needs of our community. We now need to expand to meet our Mission.
Responsibilities
Primary liaison for FFAS community of donors. Responsible for cultivating, stewarding, and expanding the relationships with donors; providing communication and service to donors, maintaining and managing donor information and engaging supporters. Also, responsible for maintaining donor database entries and issuing communications.
Mission Statement
To protect the health and safety of animals by providing charitable assistance in our no-kill shelter for all animals. We will be the overflow for all City and County shelters, while assisting traditional rescues with medical and foster programs. Bestow daily care, rehabilitate homeless, displaced, or injured animals; to find such animals’ good homes; and to educate the public as to how to bring about a time when the shelters are only empty cages and unwanted animals will never be destroyed needlessly.
Description
Fur & Feather Animal Sanctuary's goal is EMPTY CAGES and FOREVER HOMES. FFAS is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, more specifically for helping homeless and unwanted animals with medical care and adoption in a no-kill safe environment, fighting against animal cruelty, educating the public on the importance of spay / neuter, the basic care of animals, and the rehabilitation of wildlife.
We have only just begun and need your support. Our goal is to build the first fully solar powered 65-acre no-kill sanctuary in California to be the overflow for the city and county shelters, while assisting traditional rescues with medical and foster programs.
We are currently fundraising to buy land and build homes where animals can live in healthy surroundings until they are adopted. This environment will protect and allow all animals to live to see their full potential.
