The clinic opened its doors in 2005 to serve uninsured patients who have no access to public or private health insurance.
Role Description
This is a part-time on-site leadership role for a Clinic Manager at Volunteers in Medicine, Chattanooga. The role involves tasks such as overseeing the clinic daily operations including staff management, patient flow, compliance with regulations, and ensuring quality patient care, all while maintaining a smooth-running clinical environment; requiring strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Key duties include managing patient schedules, and overseeing medical records.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Efficiently manage multiple tasks and prioritize work.
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal, and supervisory skills.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Understanding of medical terminology, billing codes, and healthcare regulations.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs eg. Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Identify and address operational challenges.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or another related field.
Experience:
Minimum four years’ experience in healthcare operations management.
- Spanish proficiency in medical terminology is a plus!
