POSITION SUMMARY :
The HR Generalist I is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources function. Responsibilities include providing HR support and guidance to VOADV’s 40 programs and management, with particular focus on benefits and leave administration, compliance reporting, performance management, and policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor’s degree is preferred in Human Resources or Business, an Associate’s degree is required. Five years HR experience with strong knowledge in benefits plans, completing state and federal reports. Must display professionalism with all levels of employees at all times. Demonstrate excellent customer service and oral / written communication skills. Detailed-oriented, with strong follow-up skills, and can work independently. Must be knowledgeable of state and federal employment law and compliance mandates (FMLA, STD, ADA, workers’ compensation). Intermediate Microsoft Office skills. SHRM, HRCI, and other HR-related certifications are a plus. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Bilingual is a plus.
