JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Veteran Services, this position is responsible for assisting and providing quality clerical support functioning as a receptionist and performing related duties assigned. The incumbent is also responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to others to maintain an efficient office environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide clerical support to the Program Director of Veteran Services
- Prepare, manipulate, and manage extensive databases. Retrieves information when requested.
- Faxes, scans, and copies documents
- Maintains office filing and storage systems.
- Record and maintain physical and electronic documents.
- Assists with preparing project-related reports, manuscripts, and presentations.
- Verifies the accuracy and validity of data.
- Perform related duties as assigned.

- Adhere to the designated dress code as stipulated for the specific role.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
This position requires knowledge, skills and abilities equivalent to:
- A high school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) is required. Business college training is strongly preferred.
- Competent computer skills, including MS Office, and knowledge of office equipment is required.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational, planning, work management, and prioritizing skills required.
- Problem-solving ability, attention to detail, accuracy, flexibility, and reliability required.
- Documented, verifiable office experience is strongly preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older when the offer of employment is made.
- Must be able to pass all required compliance checks and criminal history investigations, including offenses as described in R.S. 40:1300.53, pursuant to the statutory revision authority of the Louisiana State Law Institute.
