Job Brief
We are seeking a talented and experienced Bench Jeweler who excels in all aspects of jewelry making, repair, and restoration. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates outstanding communication skills, and consistently makes sound decisions using strong problem-solving abilities. ResponsibilitiesJewelry Repairs
- Fix broken clasps and replace worn or damaged prongs.
- Resize rings and repair broken chains.
- Remount stones and fix bent or damaged jewelry.
Stone Setting
- Set new gemstones and replace loose stones.
- Match stone cuts and sizes with precision.
Finishing and Polishing
- Buff and polish finished pieces to perfection.
- Clean and inspect jewelry for quality assurance.
Metalwork
- Perform soldering, welding, and engraving tasks.
Customer Service
- Consult with clients to discuss repair options and provide accurate estimates.
- Maintain clear communication with clients about repair progress and timelines.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a high-end jewelry manufacturing shop or store.
- Knowledge: Expertise in intricate jewelry construction, precious metal properties, and colored stone characteristics.
- Technical Skills: Ability to construct handmade elements, clasps, and mechanical components.
- Teamwork: Excellent communication skills for effectively collaborating within a team environment.
- Motivation: Highly driven with a passion for quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
