Vonachen Group is looking to hire a Maintenance Technician to work within an industrial facility in Milan, IL.
Details:
A Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting facility upkeep and improvement tasks. This person will assist with general maintenance, repairs, and light construction projects, ensuring the facility remains safe, organized, and in top working condition. A Maintenance Technician must have mechanical aptitude, experience with handheld power tools, and a keen eye for detail. This person is responsible for providing high-quality service levels, adhering to company policies, and contributing to a safe working environment.
Job Responsibilities May Include:
- Maintain facility cleanliness, including sweeping, dusting, and general upkeep.
- Perform minor repairs, including painting, patching walls, and filling crevices.
- Assist with carpentry and light installation work (e.g., building cabinets, installing signs).
- Label and organize shelving, workspaces, and inventory areas.
- Assist tradespeople and other team members as needed.
- Identify and report the need for major repairs.
- Support overall facility improvement efforts assigned.

Skills and Abilities
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Ability to comprehend and follow instructions, either orally or in writing.
- Must follow all health and safety requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to take direction and execute tasks efficiently.

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience in facility maintenance, general repairs, or a similar role preferred.
- Familiarity with hardware tools, electrical equipment, and basic carpentry.
- Successfully pass training in Lock-Out-Tag-Out, Aerial Lifts, Fall Protection, PPE, and Bloodborne Pathogens.

Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for long periods of time; climb stairs.
- Perform repetitive movements, including bending and twisting.
- Lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Work at heights up to 40 feet.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Job Prerequisite:
- Power industrial vehicle experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
