Duties
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends and seasonal ingredients.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation.
- Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels to minimize waste.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to foster a collaborative work environment.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation in all dishes served.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during meal periods.
- Handle special dietary requests and accommodate guests' preferences effectively.
- Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements as necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and kitchen safety protocols.
- Experience in fine dining establishments is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
- Proficiency in food management, including inventory control and cost management.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with staff and guests.
- Knowledge of bartending is a plus but not required.
