Position Summary:

The HR Business Partner will deliver HR services, identify needs, request services, resolve issues and ensure assigned ancillary businesses (ABs) and international offices are following established processes and procedures. This position will be responsible for all HR functions of the ABs and international offices including talent acquisition, onboarding, payroll, employee relations, compliance and engagement. 

Essential Functions:

  • Partner with Vorys HR team and ancillary business (AB) senior leadership to ensure delivery of HR services to (ABs) as required and requested. Identify HR needs, resolve issues and develop strategies for HR success for ABs and international offices – the assigned areas. 
  • Serve as the liaison between the HR function and associated vendors who provide professional services to the assigned areas.
  • Lead or partner with Recruiter on talent acquisition needs for open positions and conduct onboarding for newly hired employees of the assigned areas.
  • Create and maintain job descriptions for the assigned areas. Manage compensation analysis and performance management program, including annual merit and market review.
  • Conduct employee relations conversations and ensure compliance of HR-related filings and payroll submissions for assigned areas as directed. Review and edit employment policies and handbooks of the assigned areas in partnership with the HR team.
  • Identify learning and development needs and partner with Senior HR Generalist to create and implement program strategies and curriculum.
  • Create, maintain and support HR company-wide communication and strategy, where applicable. 
  • Ensure employee engagement, administering engagement survey, results analysis, intervention design, implementation and measurement. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Extensive knowledge of accepted HR practices and employment law 
  • HR experience working in multi-locations and multi-jurisdictions 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization 
  • Strong degree of professionalism 
  • Deadline and detail oriented 
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills 
  • Change management skills 
  • Excellent analytical skills 
  • Ability to seamlessly transition between tactical and strategic tasks

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline or combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in similar field.
  • SHRM – CP or PHR/SPHR preferred.
