Position Summary:
The Systems Administrator will manage a subset of the firm’s file and print servers, SQL servers, E-mail servers, billing servers, remote access servers, several application servers, and a small set of web servers all on a Windows server platform. Maintain support of the Data Center including network cabling, server cabinet space usage (kvm, power, & monitor), and switch rack space utilization. Maintain support of the Avaya Phone System. Follow department procedures to properly label and document all equipment and cabling.

Essential Functions:
- Provide second and third level support to the Service Desk. Participate in the team’s on call rotation.
- Analyze and resolve problems with the Windows server based applications, network, or telephony systems.
- Evaluate, select, plan, and implement new upgrades and products into the server, network, or telephony environment as appropriate.
- Monitor and tune network appliances, Phone Switches, Windows Servers and server-based applications for optimal performance.
- Create and maintain documentation for the Windows server based applications and Systems for which the administrator is primarily responsible.
- Understanding of ITIL Service and Support concept used by the Firm
- Demonstrated experience working in a technical environment with first, second, and third level support responsibilities, responding to Service Level Agreements, and documenting resolutions in a ticketing system
- Ability to provide calm, rational troubleshooting in high stress situations
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures required
- Knowledge of Bluecoat web filtering services or applications
- Checkpoint firewall
- VPN products
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline or combination of equivalent education and experience required.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in similar field required.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience with Windows Servers and Networks (Certification preferred).
