Job Summary :

The Front Desk Associate at Bluefield Hotel is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests and ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in and check-out process.

Responsibilities :

  • Greet guests with a warm and friendly attitude, providing a positive first impression of the hotel
  • Check-in and check-out guests, handling all aspects of their stay including room reservations, payment processing, and room key distribution
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Process and address guest complaints and concerns, escalating to management as needed
  • Maintain a neat and organized front desk area, including managing inventory and stocking necessary supplies
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience
  • Follow all hotel policies and procedures, as well as safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel amenities, attractions, and local events to assist guests in planning their stay
  • Up-sell hotel services and amenities to guests when appropriate

Requirements :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, some college coursework or hospitality training preferred
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in computer systems, including hotel reservation and payment platforms
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
