Fueling Success in this Role:
VP Racing is seeking a paid HR Coordinator/Onboarding Specialist Intern that will work at both our Texas Plant location (Elmendorf, Texas). AND our Texas Headquarters (San Antonio, Texas). This internship provides hands-on experience in HR operations, onboarding, and employee engagement. The intern will play a key role in streamlining new hire processes, ensuring compliance, and enhancing the onboarding experience for employees. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their HR skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating and managing the onboarding process for new hires, including document collection, system setup, and orientation scheduling.
- Prepare and maintain employee records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Support pre-employment activities such as background checks, employment verifications, and onboarding paperwork.
- Help develop and improve onboarding materials to enhance the new hire experience.
- Collaborate with managers and team leads to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives, including welcome programs and HR communications.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
- Perform additional HR administrative tasks and projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and handle confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and willingness to learn HR systems.
- Passion for HR, onboarding, and employee engagement.
