Position Summary: We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and proactive Portfolio Reporting Specialist to join our team. This individual will play a key role in managing and maintaining portfolio-related reports, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of all required documentation for NYCHA (New York City Housing Authority). As part of this role, the Portfolio Reporting Specialist will also become a RealPage Champion and will be responsible for leveraging the RealPage platform for reporting and data management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Portfolio Reporting Specialist will conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, and state and federal laws (OSHA, ADA and Fair Housing). Essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop, maintain, and upload all NYCHA-related reports to meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure that all reporting deadlines are met, with a high degree of accuracy and detail.
  • Collect and analyze data from various sources to create comprehensive reports, ensuring all necessary information is included.
  • Become an expert and primary point of contact for RealPage platform-related queries and tasks.
  • Maintain RealPage user access and ensure proper utilization of the system across the team.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure seamless integration of data and reporting within RealPage.
  • Provide ongoing training and support for team members on RealPage tools and functionality.
  • Troubleshoot any RealPage-related issues and collaborate with the RealPage support team to resolve them.
  • Ensure all NYCHA reporting requirements, including financial, operational, and compliance reports, are consistently uploaded and up to date.
  • Work closely with the finance and compliance teams to ensure the accuracy of the data provided in NYCHA reports.
  • Maintain a calendar of NYCHA report deadlines and ensure timely submissions.
  • Prepare periodic status updates on reporting progress for internal teams and management.
  • Analyze portfolio data for accuracy, trends, and anomalies, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Perform data validation checks to ensure the accuracy of all reports.
  • Assist in the development of new reports as required by internal or external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Finance, Compliance, Operations) to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with NYCHA representatives and other external partners regarding reporting requirements and deadlines.
  • Attend relevant meetings and provide status updates on reporting tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience with portfolio reporting, data management, or a similar field.
  • Familiarity with RealPage or similar property management software is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
  • Knowledge of NYCHA reporting requirements and compliance regulations is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with RealPage, especially in reporting and data integration.
  • Previous experience working with government or housing authority reporting (e.g., NYCHA).
  • Advanced data visualization skills (e.g., using tools like Power BI or Tableau).


Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Primarily office-based with regular site visits to properties
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • May need to stand and walk for extended or continuous periods of time.
  • May be required to travel outside between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions.
