QA/QE Lead (Playwright, Appium)

QA/QE Lead with expertise in Playwright and Appium to drive our test automation strategy. The ideal candidate will lead a team of QA engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. This role demands strong automation experience, hands-on scripting abilities, and leadership skills to enhance testing frameworks and improve CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Strategy & Leadership?
• Define and implement QA best practices, automation strategies, and test frameworks.?
• Lead, mentor, and guide a team of QA engineers in test automation and quality engineering initiatives.?
• Ensure alignment of QA processes with Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD methodologies. Automation & Framework Development?
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Playwright, Gauge, and Appium.?
• Create scalable and reusable test scripts for web, mobile, and API testing.?
• Integrate test automation with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).?
• Optimize test execution time and improve reliability of automation suites.Functional, API, and Performance Testing?
• Develop and execute functional, regression, integration, and performance test cases.?
• Conduct API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools.?
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to identify bottlenecks and improve performance. Defect Management & Reporting?
• Identify, document, and track defects.?
• Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on software quality.?
• Work closely with developers to troubleshoot issues and improve software reliability. Continuous Improvement & Collaboration?
• Stay updated with the latest trends in test automation and quality engineering.?
• Drive test automation adoption across teams and advocate for shift-left testing.?
• Work closely with product managers, developers, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless releases. Required Skills & Qualifications:?
• 7 years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years as a QA Lead/QE Lead.?
• Strong expertise in Playwright and Appium for test automation.?
• Experience with test automation for web, mobile (iOS/Android), and APIs.?
• Hands-on scripting experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java.?
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.?
• Experience with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).?
• Familiarity with cloud testing platforms?
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.?
• Strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Good to have Skills :?
