SUMMARY: Uses CAD equipment to provide support to development by preparing routine layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches, and diagrams. Details to include all views and dimensions necessary for manufacture. Must be able to use PDM software for document control and maintain information regarding revision history. Possesses a solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with engineering terminology with emphasis in ASME Y14.5-2009. Makes decisions but refers questions/problems to supervisor. Possesses mechanical aptitude with ability to complete basic mathematical calculations. Has familiarity with CAD/CAM.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop 3D CAD designs using computer assisted design/drafting software (Creo CAD) along with various hand measuring tools
- Creates 2D prints and revises production drawings consisting of detail, source, specification control, kit, altered item, envelope, and assembly drawings with 95% accuracy using Creo.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
- Degree in Mechanical Drafting and Design or related field and 4 years of relevant work experience
- Experience with Passenger Cars, Light Trucks, and Heavy-Duty vehicles, ability to replace most components in support of validation activities.
- Less than 10% travel expected of the role.
- The selected applicant will be subject to a background check and drug testing.
