Summary
VT Volant is currently seeking a Sales Manager to generate sales of aircraft cabin interior parts to customers. The position requires networking of current and prospective aircraft lessors, airline customers, MROs, OEMs, and brokers/distributors. Fair market value research, developing suggested sales pricing, standardized pricing, and responding to requests for quotation and other post-quote follow-up are necessary to close the sale. Strong communication skills are essential for interaction with customers, vendors, and internal staff. Selling to airlines and strong airline contacts experience are preferred for the successful Sales Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify and establish contact with potential new accounts ie; airlines and leasing companies, MROs, OEMs, and brokers/distributors
- Maintain relationships and contact with customers to continuously develop business.
- Follow industry trends to identify new opportunities for potential sales.
- Meet monthly and quarterly sales goals.
- Receive customer inquiries and RFPs – develop and prepare responses.
- Provide customers with quotes and tireless follow up.
- Exercise negotiation skills and demonstrate quick thinking, adaptation, and creativity.
- Identify customer requirements, issues, and needs, generate a solution for those requirements, and see through to completion.
- Demonstrate knowledge of customer fleets, aircraft types, industry info/history, OEMs
- Display a measurable track record of new customer and prospect development and a willingness to cold call potential customers
- Represent the company professionally during interaction with customers and vendors.
- Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Create a “first-call” rapport with customers; monitor multiple communication methods including electronic and social media.
- Implement a systemic approach to daily and monthly goals.
- Availability to travel up to 25% for visitation primarily with customers, but possibly trade shows.

Education and/or Experience
- Aerospace Cabin Interior engineering, manufacturing or MRO sales experience is preferred.
- Experience in sales to Lessors, Airlines (1st and lower tier), MROs, OEM’s, and/or Brokers preferred
- Knowledge of ERP Software, MS Office Aps
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales and/or Marketing (work experience in lieu of a degree).
