Sports Management Graduate Assistant
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the Graduate Assistant (GA) will be to assist the Sport Management Program Coordinator in all facets of program administration including but not limited to:
- advising of undergraduate students,
- exploration of COSMA accreditation,
- maintenance of the sport management and athletic leadership student database,
- program application administration,
- PReCIP data tracking,
- handbook and website updates.
- The graduate assistant will also assist with undergraduate course management for several courses and will assist with the administration and marketing of the Master of Science in Athletic Leadership program.

Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in sport management or a related field, with exemplary academic work, excellent writing skills, a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and acceptance into graduate school at Vermont State University are required. This position includes tuition remission (up to 9 credits per semester or 18 credits per academic year), room, and a stipend. This is a two-year position beginning in January of 2025 and ending in December of 2026. It may be possible to alter these dates.
It is expected that each graduate student maintains a minimum grade point average of 3.0 and shows satisfactory progress toward a degree with completion in two years.
Additional Information:
As long as you are employed as a Graduate Assistant by Vermont State University, tuition remission (for up to 9 credits per semester or up to 18 total credits per academic year), and room at Vermont State University within the contract year are included with your contract, but no other fringe benefits. Any course-specific fees are the responsibility of the Graduate Assistant.
