What are the responsibilities and job description for the Workforce, Community & Economic Development Graphic Design Assistant- Student Employment (Workstudy Eligibility Preferred) position at VTSU?
Design Support:
Collaborate closely with the graphic design team to assist in creating compelling visual assets, including graphics, illustrations, layouts, and more.
Help translate design concepts and ideas into polished and impactful visuals that align with the company's brand identity.
Content Creation:
Assist in producing graphics for various marketing materials, including social media posts, website banners, email campaigns, presentations, and print collateral.
Contribute creative ideas and concepts to enhance the visual appeal and effectiveness of design projects.
Image Editing and Manipulation:
Work with existing imagery, retouching and enhancing photos as needed for different projects.
Assist in optimizing images for different digital platforms and screen resolutions.
Collaboration and Communication:
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, content, and web development, to ensure design projects meet specified goals and requirements.
Participate in design brainstorming sessions and provide input to contribute to the creative process.
File Management:
Organize and maintain design files, assets, and project documentation to ensure efficient workflow and accessibility for team members.
Quality Assurance:
Review and proof designs for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines before finalizing and delivering to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Sophomore/Junior in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
Proficiency in graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or similar tools.
Strong visual design skills with an eye for composition, color, typography, and layout.
Basic understanding of design principles and best practices.
Ability to take creative direction and work collaboratively within a team environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Basic understanding of print and digital design requirements.
