What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Health and Safety Specialist position at Vulcan Industrial Contractors?

Leading industrial construction and maintenance contractor is looking for an EHS Specialist for an ongoing project. Project is 50-60 hours/week, Monday through Saturday, with the possibility of a couple of Sundays. This is a temporary role until May, but temporary projects are abundant for the right candidates.
PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
Construction/industrial experience - 5 years minimum.
Power Plant, Refinery, Oil and Gas or Paper Mill experience is required. There is no time to train for this role as the project is ongoing.
Expert knowledge of OSHA regulations, particularly rigging, hot work and scaffold.
Drug testing/fitness for duty knowledge.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a diverse group of people and with a customer with very high expectations.
Experience conducting Behavioral Based Observations and Jobsite Audits.
Able to work in the field 80% of the time and in the office 20% of the time. This is not a management type safety role but it will require the use of a computer and tablet with different softwares and apps.

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Weekends as needed
