What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Designer Womens position at Vuori, Inc?
We are seeking an Assistant Designer to join the Vuori Design team! This individual will support the creation & execution of Vuoris Womens Fitness & Lounge product working on our Sports Bras Fitness Knit Bottoms Fitness Lounge Bottoms Swim and Seamless categories. This individual will be responsible for aiding in the design process including but not limited to market research BOM development fitting and finessing product. To be effective in this role the individual must be eager to learn and support the team in any way needed have an eye for elevated fashion and have a basic understanding of Vuori aesthetics. We are looking for someone who is passionate about performance apparel Vuoris mission and will embody the brands values. - Ability to successfully work in a team environment.
- Conduct preliminary market research and trend analysis capturing style and trim inspiration and proportion trends. Maintain an understanding of the cultural and competitive market trends as they relate to the Vuori customer.
- Maintain and organize design samples mock ups etc. ensuring team tools are readily accessible.
- Support in creating and setting up digital and materials tools for department presentations.
- Execute specific design development projects as assigned by the higherlevel team members.
- Attend and assist in fittings taking notes as needed.
- Ability to stay organized communicating clearly and meeting deadlines.
- Basic level technical knowledge of knit apparel constructions.
- Ability to sketch or to communicate design ideas via computer program.
