Position Summary
The Optical Engineer will function in an interdisciplinary team, troubleshoot, design, and conduct experiments on various optical based materials and systems which includes data collection and preparation of reports on findings. This position will also support the functions of the R&D - Optical Department to meet the requirements of the relevant ISO 9001:2015 standards based on the quality objectives established by Top Management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Optical Engineer will function in an interdisciplinary team, troubleshoot, design, and conduct experiments on various optical based materials and systems which includes data collection and preparation of reports on findings. This position will also support the functions of the R&D - Optical Department to meet the requirements of the relevant ISO 9001:2015 standards based on the quality objectives established by Top Management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, design and conduct experiments on UV-cured materials and systems, vacuum deposition systems, interferometers and optical measurement systems, and optical handling and cleaning.
- Collect data and prepare reports on experiments and results.
- Work in an interdisciplinary team with engineers and scientists to develop new optical systems and technologies.
- Provide technical support to other team members as needed.
