Nursery- Grower

Description:

Are you observant, detail-oriented and production minded? We need a grower that will be able to keep

an eye on crops throughout the nursery and their needs. With over 1,300 varieties perennial varieties,

this is a full time job! Note that this position may require endurance and good physical condition. You

may be asked to lift, push or pull up to 25 pounds repeatedly. If you are interested in these tasks, please

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of this position involves the monitoring of crops to assess their

requirements for irrigation and fertilization, as well as to detect any indications of pests and

diseases. Additionally, managing and treating pest and disease occurrences will constitute a

significant aspect of the role. We will also ask that this person will be able to work with the

production team to keep our plantings on schedule.

Requirements:

• Ability to repeatedly lift approximately 25 lbs.
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work in a group setting
• Ability to operate farm tractors is a plus
• Ability to speak or understand Spanish is a plus
• Knowledge of plants, especially perennials is a plus
• You will be required to obtain a Pesticide Applicators License
• Knowledge of basic safety rules and precautionary measures is a plus, but training is performed

annually (safety gear will be provided as needed)
