Description:
Would you like to spend the summer outside? Then come join our shipping team! You will play a crucial role in shipping over 1,300 varieties and ensuring our customers are satisfied with the products they receive. As you gain experience, you may also take on additional responsibilities, which may involve more detailed work in the future. Note that this position is fast paced and will require endurance and good physical condition. It will also require work to be done in all weather conditions. You may be asked to lift, push or pull up to 25 pounds repeatedly. Responsibilities:
- Order fulfillment
- General maintenance: weeding, trimming, grooming
- Communicating inventory updates
You may be asked to perform other tasks in different areas of the nursery.
Requirements:
- Ability to repeatedly lift approximately 25 lbs
- Ability to walk all day
- Attention to detail
- Ability to operate farm tractors is a plus
- Ability to speak or understand Spanish is a plus
- Knowledge of plants, especially perennials is a plus
- Knowledge of basic safety rules and precautionary measures is a plus, but training is performed annually (safety gear will be provided as needed)
