Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems and be proficient in both low voltage and standard electrical work. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. The Electrician will work closely with blueprints and schematics to ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ammeters and ohmmeters to complete tasks efficiently.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues by diagnosing problems using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Ensure all work complies with NEC standards and local building codes.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to coordinate project requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs.
- Document all work performed in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Electrician or in a similar role within the electrical field.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, low voltage applications, and NEC regulations.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in electrical work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications or licenses as required by local regulations.
